Terms

The product
Tallyline is a static website that provides a money ledger and an invoice maker. It runs in your browser and stores its data in your browser's local storage. There is no account, no server-side storage, and no sync service. The app is provided as a website; there is nothing to install.
License and use
Pro is sold as a one-time license for personal or business use by the purchaser. The license key unlocks the Pro features on the device where it is entered. You may use the app for your own business records. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish the license key or the Pro features as your own product.
The free plan may be used without payment, within the limits described on the pricing page.
No financial, tax or legal advice
Tallyline is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide tax, accounting, legal or financial advice, and nothing in the app or on this site is a recommendation about how to record, report or pay anything. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for meeting the obligations that apply to you.
Your data and backups
You are responsible for your data and for keeping backups. Because the data lives only in your browser, we cannot recover it if it is deleted, if browser storage is cleared, if a device fails, or if you use a browser or setting that blocks local storage. The app provides a JSON backup and restore feature; use it regularly and keep the files somewhere safe.
Acceptable use
You may not use Tallyline for anything illegal, to create or keep records you know to be false, or to interfere with the site or other people's use of it. Access may be withdrawn if the site is used in a way that breaks these terms or the law.
Provided as is
Tallyline is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Calculations, formatting and printing depend on your browser and device, and you should check important documents before relying on them.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the twelve months before the claim.
Purchases and refunds
Payments are handled by our payment partner's hosted checkout. Delivery of the license key and the refund terms are described on the pricing page and in the refund policy.
Changes
These terms may be updated when the product or the law changes. The current version is always on this page with its date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that state.
